Kittens do most of their growing up in the weeks before they are old enough to leave, and almost nobody outside the house gets to see it. So we photograph them as they go. This page is updated as they change, and it stays up after they have gone home.

The first days

They arrived in the second week of September and the house has not been quiet since. At this age a kitten is not much more than a warm weight in the palm of your hand: eyes still shut, ears still folded down, entirely occupied with finding milk and staying close to somebody warm.

Both mothers are doing beautifully. The cream and cinnamon babies are already the noisy ones, and there is a black kitten in a mint collar who has worked out the fastest route to the front of the queue. We weigh everybody daily and write it all down, which is the least romantic and most important part of the whole job.

Keeping in touch

Watch them grow up

We add to this page as the litter changes, from the first wobbling steps to the day they leave for home. If one of them might be yours, the kindest thing you can do is start the conversation early.

New to the breed? Our kitten guides cover everything from choosing a breeder to the first week at home.
